Vireo Capital Research · Who We Are

We started because we were frustrated.

Finance clubs that felt like theater. Stock pitches with no skin in the game. Research no one ever had to defend. We wanted to do the actual work.

Our Story

Vireo was founded in 2026 by Max Lucca and Finn Harned - two students who were tired of finance clubs that felt like theater. Stock pitch competitions with no skin in the game, model templates never tested against real markets, research that no one ever had to defend publicly.

We wanted something different. We wanted to pick companies, build the models, write the reports, put our names on them, and live with the results. Publicly. That's what Vireo is.

Every report we publish goes through peer review. Every rating is owned by a named analyst. If the thesis is wrong, the record shows it. That accountability is the point - it's what makes the work better, and it's what makes the experience mean something.

How It Works

No committees.
No approval chains.

You join a sector. You pick a company. You build the model. You write the report. You defend it to the team. We publish it.

Senior analysts review every draft before publication - not to water it down, but to pressure-test the thesis. If your numbers are wrong, you find out before the report goes out, not after.

That accountability is the point. It's what makes the work better, and it's what makes the experience mean something when you go to recruit.
